Is he going from buffet to buff? After Donald Trump released a report from his physician touting his “excellent” health and “reduced” weight, there has been speculation among the Palm Beach set over how the former president shed the pounds. Some have wondered if Trump — like seemingly every big name in Hollywood, including Oprah Winfrey — might’ve turned to Ozempic or another weight loss drug. But a source tells Page Six that staying away from the Mar-a-Lago buffet at his Florida club along with help from wife Melania Trump have done the trick. The insider said Trump has allegedly “dropped at least 30 pounds,” and that “people at the club say he’s eating healthier, and less from the buffet. They credit Melania with his better eating habits. Trump has not been seen scarfing down ice cream sundaes or chocolate cake with two scoops of vanilla ice cream on it.” In November, his personal physician, New Jersey’s Dr. Bruce Aronwald, wrote, “I am pleased to report that President Trump’s overall health is excellent.” He added, “Trump has reduced his weight through an improved diet and continued daily physical activity, while maintaining a rigorous schedule.” Some have been skeptical of the claims. In August, Trump’s weight was reportedly listed as 215 pounds when he surrendered to Georgia authorities on charges related to his alleged efforts to overturn 2020 election results there. That’s 25 pounds less than Trump supposedly weighed when he was booked in his Manhattan case in April. Anti-Trumper Rick Wilson of the Lincoln Project tweeted at the time: “215? That’s an insane lie.” While insiders insist he has been shedding pounds, our source said “it’s pure speculation” that Trump is taking weight-loss drugs “like Ozempic or Wegovy, which are very popular in Palm Beach, where everyone is suddenly looking thinner!” Another source said of Trump, “He does lots of sport. He looks good.” His rep didn’t get back to us. Trump reportedly told a sketch artist last month in one of his cases that he needed to “lose some weight” after viewing her courtroom drawing of himself, according to an ABC News report.
