During my childhood and adolescence, I never really thought about or noticed my body. There was nothing really to notice. I was perfectly average. Never too tall, never too short. Never too skinny or too fat. In High school, I got my adult height of five feet and six inches and my weight stayed around 130 pounds. I was also never athletic. So, you could say that I was at my natural weight. My family is full of bigger people as in curvy to very obese. My mother is extremely obese weighing easily in the three-hundred range and my brother is also obese. My family doesn’t eat like pigs. We eat as everyone else does. I guess it’s just fate that some people are just bigger than others. My Mom would always tell me, “It’s because of my mental health medication. The stuff makes you gain weight by destroying your metabolism”. They could easily argue it since her and my brother both took medication to control bipolar disorder and they both had problems with obesity, but they’ve been heavy their entire lives. My brother has always been the fat kid and looking at my Mom’s childhood photos, she was a chubby little girl.
