During Wednesday night’s episode of the show, the 30-year-old event manager revealed to his wife Cassandra Allen how he struggled with weight issues in the past. As part of Confessions Week, couples have been tasked to write letters to each other revealing something personal. In his heartbreaking letter, Tristan explained his insecurities stemmed from previously being overweight and that it was a big reason why he hasn’t made ‘the first move’ with his new bride. ‘This was really hard for me to write. I need you to understand this has affected my life for the last 30 years,’ he began. When I would approach them or ask them out they would reject me and also then laugh and make fun of me.’ Tristan noted that despite being rejected, the bullying he dealt with was what made him feel ‘worthless’. He told Cassandra that there had been countless times during the experiment where he wanted to kiss her and show more affection, but the ‘fear’ of her not finding him attractive is what had been holding him back.
