Lainey Wilson Issues Warning About Weight Loss Gummy Scam: “They’re Entirely Fake… Do Not Fall For It”

Lainey Wilson issued a warning with her fans about fake weight loss gummies in an ad campaign using her likeness.

The country superstar took to social media on Tuesday (June 20) to alert fans of the false ad campaigns circulating around the internet via a video public service announcement.

“PSA if y’all have seen these ads, they’re entirely fake. Don’t fall for them and help me out by reporting them when you see them,” Wilson captioned the clip.

In the short video, Wilson addresses the false advertisements with her signature southern charm while making light of the situation.

“Alright y’all, by now I’m sure a lot y’all have seen some ads about me losing weight, being hospitalized and then I started taking some weight loss gummies and blah blah blah that saved my life. Well surprise, it ain’t true,” Wilson stated. ”People will do whatever to make a dollar, even if it is lies. Cause ain’t nobody sent me any gummies.”

Wilson also pointed out that some fans may have noticed that she has shed a few pounds in recent months. However, the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer assured fans that it has nothing to do with weight loss gummies and that it’s a result of her endless dedication to her craft.

“If I have lost weight, it’s because I am working hard and playing hour and a half shows and running around every night of my life,” Wilson continued. ”And to be honest me losing weight or gaining weight ain’t got anything to do with my music.”

She concluded her PSA with a message to her fans, letting them know that she loves her fans too much to let them spend their money on something that’s not real.

“I love y’all. I just don’t want y’all spending money on something that ain’t real. Do not fall for it, but I’ll tell you what,” the Louisiana native said, before joking, ”It’d be real nice if they made some gummies that made ya ass tell the truth. You get a gummy, you get a gummy, we all gettin’ gummies.”
