Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver stunned fans as she looked pretty in pink in a sleek suit. The Weatherfield legend, who has played Eileen Grimshaw since 2000, wowed as she posted new snaps on her Instagram.
Sue, 59, was the third campmate to be evicted from the jungle in Australia in the 2022 series after joining the likes of singer Boy George, former England rugby player Mike Tindall, Loose Women star Charlene White, former Secretary of State for Health Matt Hancock and eventual winner, England Lioness Jill Scott.
As she joined the This Morning viewers back in January viewers couldn’t help but flock to social media to compliment Sue, who looked amazing in a stylish outfit of vibrant green trousers and black jacket. The actress was then Prima magazine’s March cover star and she told the publication about diet culture and how she avoids it.
“I lost some weight in the jungle,” Sue admitted. “But I’m not obsessing over diets: life is hard enough!” She told the magazine: “There’s always going to be outside pressure and unfair expectations placed on women, but I refuse to get pulled into it. That’s why I’ll never promote anything weight-related, and it’s why I’d always rather compliment somebody on their smile or their outfit, rather than their weight.”
Sue showed off her latest look on Tuesday (May 2), with a new shorter blonde hairstyle, after having her makeup done by celeb makeup artist Bryony Blake.
Fellow Corrie favourite Catherine Tyldesley, who played Eva Price, told her: “You look incredible xxx” and Brooke Vincent, who played Sophie Webster, marvelled: “SUEEEE.”
Nicola Thorp, who played Nicola Rubinstein the daughter of Eileen’s late husband Pat Phelan, exclaimed: “Bloody GORG.” And clare-temple.9 gasped: “You’ve lost so much weight!”
Juliebirdie66 told her: “You look absolutely fantastic.” Karen Hardacre enthused: “Woweeeeeee u look fantastic.” And ruthharper67 praised: “Sue, you truly look amazing.”
Barbarawhite820 told her: “Oh my goodness Sue you look amazing! You didn’t need to but gosh you’ve lost so much weight & yr outfit! I’d say yr look is incredible! Xxx” And loopylou4u2002 said: “20years younger.”
As she was reunited with campmate Chris Moyles on his Radio X show earlier this year, Sue revealed a moment viewers of I’m A Celeb didn’t get to see when she got told off for suggesting they acquire more food by using their camp guests. “I knew it was going to be tough, as I knew several people that had been in it,” she said.
“But I thought, ‘Oh they’re just doing this for the telly. They’ll bob in a few cakes in the afternoon.’ That didn’t happen, did it Chris?” Sue went on to reveal that the contestants are actually strictly forbidden to eat any of the local wildlife they may have come across while in the Australian jungle.
Everything’s protected,” she said. “In fact, there was one day when we were down at the creek and someone said: ‘There’s a lobster!’ But It was a yabby. And everyone – because we were hungry – went, ‘Oh my lord, maybe we could catch it!'”
But they weren’t going to get away with it as Sue revealed: “This voice of death came on and said: ‘Those are yabbys and they are protected species! Step away from the yabby!'”
