1000lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton shows off 300lb weight loss in new photos | Daily Mail Online

New photos have emerged of Tammy Slaton from TLC reality show 1000-lb Sisters, prompting fans to comment on her weight loss success.

The reality star, 36, has now lost around 300lb, according to The Sun, after years of dealing with health issues.

Tammy once tipped the scales at around 700lb, but last year, after spending time in a food rehab centre, she revealed she had hit her goal weight of 550lb, meaning she was able to have bariatric surgery.

Last December, she shared a TikTok video of herself showing off her new look, prompting fans to praise her for how ‘amazing’ she looks.

And now, she appears leaner in the photos which Southern Indiana Combat Production shared on its Facebook page last week.

At one point, Tammy Slaton (pictured, left) tipped the scales at 700lb. She appears on the reality show 1000-lb Sisters, alongside her sister Amy (pictured, right)

The images, which show a beaming Tammy with her sister Amy, have won praise from her fans, who took to Reddit to discuss her massive weight loss.

One wrote: ‘Can you imagine how much better she feels, and that’s probably why her attitude is better. I know she still has a way to go, but what she’s already lost has to be a huge relief on her body. I’m proud of her and hope she continues on a healthier path.’

Another agreed, adding: ‘People keep saying they can’t tell she’s lost a massive amount of weight. Look at her! She’s half the size she used to be and it’s obvious!’

Meanwhile, another noted that Tammy was standing unaided, after years of using a wheelchair or walker.

They wrote: ‘Seriously, good for her! I’ve never seen her without a walker.’

A further Redditor said: ‘This is the first time I’ve seen Tammy stand and look like she’s actually okay to stand alone. Good for her!!!’

As well as losing significant weight over the last year, Tammy has also enjoyed happiness in her personal life.

In November, Tammy – who previously revealed she was pansexual -married her partner, Caleb Willingham, during an intimate ceremony, surrounded by only family and loved ones.

However earlier in the year, she caused panic among fans, after her TikTok account seemed to have been deactivated once she was rushed to the emergency room.

Tammy had been taking her fans along with her on her weight loss journey through her social media as she received treatment at the rehabilitation center.

But when fans noticed her social media account was displaying an error message at the same time she was sent to the hospital and placed on a ventilator after she stopped breathing, they panicked.

While at the hospital, Tammy underwent a tracheotomy – a surgical procedure where doctors make an incision on the neck and place a breathing tube into the trachea.

Fans took to Reddit to praise the reality star’s progress, with many saying they were pleased to see her continue to shed the pounds

The following days were filled with many ups and downs for Tammy and her family as medical experts told the reality star’s family she may not be survive.

The terrifying ordeal was featured on the season three finale of the reality TV series, with Tammy’s sister Amanda telling the cameras: ‘They’re just telling us that her lungs have given up and like her body is shutting down.

‘So at this point, we’re facing making funeral arrangements for my little sister […] She’s been in such a bad place for so long.

‘She waited too long. And now that she has the courage to step out and get the help that she needs, now this.’

However, around the time she left the food rehab facility last December, she had the tracheotomy removed, and appears to have seen improvements to her health since then.
